Manchester City star midfielder David Silva has said that he is not interested in a move to Spanish champions Real Madrid to stay with the Premier league champions.
The 26-year-old former Valencia midfielder has been linked with a return to Spain after it was revealed that Real Madrid are interested in securing his services. He has been in sensational form for Man City ever since arriving in England for £ 26 million.
Real Madrid manager José Mourinho is currently in charge of the transfers at Real Madrid. He is thought to have made David Silva his top priority in order to replace Kaka.
David Silva recently won the English Premier league title with Manchester City after a dramatic final day of the season. Even though they have failed to make any significant impact in the European campaign in the last two seasons, it is thought that David Silva is prepared to stay with Manchester City in order to achieve a lot in the European front. Due to the fact that Manchester City missed out on the signing of star midfielder Eden Hazard, David Silva will be the forefront of every Manchester City attack next season.
“David has signed a long deal with Manchester City and is very happy at the club. They have just beaten Man United to the title. Football is always unpredictable but he wants to stay in England. Real Madrid is a big club as well and they were interested when he was at Valencia [the club he left to join City] but the deal was not possible. We are ignoring the plans of Real Madrid because he is very integrated at City and winning the Premier League has only increased his commitment to the club,” said David Silva’s agent Julio Llorente in response to the transfer speculation linking his client with a return to Spain.
